Was about to call you out for misspelling "pharmacy" and then I read the story and realized that you're correct, that's how you spell it.

Dang, was hoping for a reason to make fun of you today.

I was always tempted to go in there and have a burger at lunch (assuming they have burgers) since my dentist office is just down the street but never really saw any cars there. I thought about going in there after a dental appointment for a drink but something about sitting at the bar trying to have a drink with my mouth all numb and drooling all over the place and spilling my drink all down the front of my shirt seemed inappropriate.

That's a shame!! All my years working all around that place..don't think I ever stepped foot inside it. I could be wrong. Bet they still make Vanilla Cokes. Guess I'll never know!

The staff at this place were not very good at customer service or retention. I tried to buy a chocolate shake from them one afternoon, and since I had no cash, they forced me to buy a $4 birthday card with my purchase in order to use my MasterCard. After the incident, I contacted Mastercard, and they informed me this is against their merchant agreement.... (for a merchant to require the total amount to be greater than a set dollar price)

Good Riddance.

Went there once. It was OK. Service could have been friendlier.

I loved that place. It was a big part of my childhood. I'm sad they are shutting down. They made real fountain cokes from the syrup and amazing chocolate malts.

This was back when there was an actual pharmacy, too.

I was there about a year ago and horrible service, I think the owner has mentioned a handful of times that they are closing. Might be another poor attempt at getting business.

I think they have their regulars and just don't relate well to strangers, could be wrong. I went in once and had the same reaction. Just weren't very friendly. It is sad though, because it is a city landmark. Kind of like losing the bar with the Christmas lights. (Can't remember it's name). It had been around forever, but I never went there.
