I have lived in San Antonio for over 40 years, having been born and raised here. I know 6 families who have moved to the Stone Oak area. All but ONE have been HIGHLY dissatisfied with the homes, the builders, the traffic and the schools. It is NOT what realtors and others trying to unload their mistakes on the ignorant and unsuspecting say it is. Alamo Ranch is worse.

lived on the north east for most of my life. Lived in Sonterra for 3 years and was so happy to come back to the NE side of town. Although its nice over there, its the traffic you will have to get use to.

Default Best SA places to live

I would say that overall SA is really a great safe place to be, however i can say that the highly desired Schertz-Cibolo Universal City Independent School District is an amazing place to send kids to school, you really cannot do better than that. That being said you may want to check out the homes in Cibolo I know that Emerald Homes make beautiful homes there. Best of luck to you!

Default Villiages of Westcreek

New member here. Born and raised over near Marbach and Military Drive. I have lived here in Westcreek since 1991. Does it have problems? Sure does, just like just about any other neighborhood. I live on Saxonhill, one of the main thoroughfares through Westcreek. Lots of traffic from surrounding neighborhoods coming through but I barely notice it inside my home unless the car (or stereo) is loud. Having said this, I love Westcreek. I have long term neighbors and feel it is truly a nice community in which to raise a family. The sports park is probably the best in SA, and very under utilized. Two swimming pools and a clubhouse. Lots of community involvement. The traffic is bad out here right now due to the Loop 1604 widening project but once completed, it will calm back down. HOA fees are not too bad, $400 a year now but that helps keep up and maintain all common areas.
