Does anyone have a good doctor or clinic that treats severe arthritis successfully? We are searching for something for arthritis for the lower back.

We have tried traditional med/docs, an excellent chiropractor and even a super accupuncturist. Voodoo might be next!

I see Dr Emily Pineda on Fredricksburg @ South Texas Arthritis Care Center. I have been under her care and also see her PA Julia regularly for about 4 months and I am really happy so far.

Thanks Jal and Camper. I'm clueless about what they would do for treatment? It is physical therapy? This is not my area of expertise. What can they expect that their regular doctor isn't doing or suggesting?

X rays, blood work and Rx's. I just had a stand up MRI on my shoulder ( highly recommend them over regular MRI's) A regular doctor usually won't touch arthritis for some reason. Same with fibro.

She is very gentle and understanding. If she can't help you she can refer you to someone but I bet she can take care of you. Is this for you??

Treatment would really depend on your type of arthritis, severity and location(s). I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, so what they do for me and my treatment even varies greatly for another patient that has the same type.
I know pain meds and other prescriptions are common.
