Lots of people love to take food to work in the morning, seems like the only options here in SA are Tacos or Donuts. Does anyone have any ideas of other items and what locations have them?

There used to be a place that had delicious croissants somewhere in the North Central part of SA, but it is long gone.

Anytime there's more of us to love, that's a good thing.

I can't work in a cubie, because my weight issues would be much worse than they are now. Not to mention, I'd probably fall asleep at my desk. I have to stay active during the day.

Panera Bread has a number of to-go breakfast items in addition to bagels. I think they are up to 3 locations now in S.A. - Lincoln Heights, Vineyard @ 1604/Blanco and I-10/Huebner.

Keep a stash of breakfast at work?

Bagels, cream cheese, a fruit bowl, etc.?

Do you have a fridge, toaster oven and microwave at work?

Thats an idea - I was thinking of something fresh made that would follow the Whataburger commercial,

You arent the guy that showed up late, you are the one that brought breakfast!

Ah, I see!

Hmm, what about calling ahead to a local diner and picking up a large stack of pancakes. Enough to share, perhaps 2 per person.

Bring in a few bananas to slice up, a bottle of syrup, powered sugar and some butter.

Surprise co-workers with a "dress your own pancake bar".

I would suggest La Madeline on Broadway, but I don't know what time they open.

For fast food, Chik-Fil-A's chicken/biscuit breakfasts are a little different...

Are you feeding just yourself or the office? You can, of course, get any breakfasts made to go, but most breakfasts, like pancakes, are better eaten at the restaurant.

For something different for others at work, fruit plates could be a good idea. Think outside the box too, this thread reminded me of an office manager I had once who would come in early and brown small slices kilobassa sausage on a hot plate, and serve them wth cantelope cubes (toothpics for both). Of course, there was coffee already there, so it was always a nice morning snack and a great way to start the day

The cinnamon rolls and orange rolls from any of the Orderup locations are really good. Supposedly, they use a locally-beloved recipe from the hardware store/cafe that used to be on Broadway near the airport.
