When we first moved to the Austin area from SA, I felt everyone was on my tail as far as driving goes. Then after we adapted to Austin driving and we would come down here to visit family, everyone seemed like they are driving slow. Now that we have moved back down here, I find myself passing most people up, and I am not speeding. Austin has faster drivers but their traffic is way worse. At least SA traffic, you are still moving and there are not as many accidents. I left my dad's house in Valley Hi at 5pm and made it to my temp apt off of 1604 and Huebner area in about 45 minutes. Can't complain about that.

Paka.....that is priceless! I will send it on to my local friends!!!

It's true that no one honks! Well...they didn't use to. I remember being in NY and everyone LAID on their horns! I was in shock. We're getting a little more "progressive" in that area!

And the I-10 exit sign saying to El Paso always throws me off when I know I'm going NORTH! That is HYSTERICAL!!! It really is confusing going through town on your way to Boerne on I-10 West....you go NORTH...then EAST...then NORTH...and veer just a tad to the West...and North again. Not sure when you're actually going WEST.....maybe past Junction which is about 100 miles from here! LOL

Add another pronunciation for the Tex Mex fast food crowd. Taco CABANA is pronounce TaCOBANA! They even say it there!!!

5 and 6 are true as was mentioned. I was driving in LA and someone honked to get my attention and I was like, MUTHA.......!! I turned my head and felt bad that this lady needed to "get in" to get out of the freeway. I let her in.

See now, when I first moved to Texas, I had a friend tell me, "If you're on the interstate and the speed limit is 70, people will drive 60. If you're on a main road and the speed limit is 45, people will drive 60," which, in my experience pretty much holds true.

And I think there should be something in there about sitting in a turn lane and watching the light turn yellow, then red, and not moving an inch.
