The city, as it is city property.

But, as previously stated, the "haunted" stories concerning this facility are mostly made up. It was not a mental health institute as some have claimed...

any of you ever get out to midget mansion

some friends of mine and I went out there one time the place was THRASHED OUT and the pool was empty except about a foot or two of water and a bunch of trash in it....it was really not much to see and did not seem haunted

another place we used to go to party and drink was called "casa blanca" it was a big white house to the east of NW Military, I believe in Shavano Park. It had been sold off to clear room for Huebner to come east of NW Military and that had never happened because development died with the oil, SNL, and Mexican Peso bust. The part of the road just west of Tuscarora Trail was going to be too expensive to build so they were just stopping Huebner there.

The house was fairly modern for the time, two story and had what was once some nice appliances in the kitchen. It was pretty trashed and the stairs to the second floor had been torn out so you could not get up there except by climbing on the roof.

It's gone now. There are condominiums where it once stood. Yeah, the pool was thrashed.

It was one of my favorite haunts. Excuse the pun.

Sad, but true. I've seen a noticeable deterioration in that location through the years. Unfortunately most visitors to that place would rather vandalize it then simply enjoy quiet of an abandoned structure.

Errrrr....just to be clear, those "visitors" that you speak of are considered "trespassers" but the City of San Antonio! I will assume you had permission to be on the property...
