What fruit can you buy in SA now that is actually good and flavorful and where did you make the purchase. Even my bananas dont taste all that wonderful.

I bought navel oranges at Super Target, Culebra and 1604, and they're super-sweet, juicy, and delicious. Agreed about the bananas, though....they taste ?mealy? or something right now....they're small, too.

It is even too early for really good navels. This, like about April is a lousy time for fruit. Apples are probably your best bet, followed by grapes. The good oranges and grapefruit will be arriving in early Novemember.

I got a small cantaloupe at the DeZavala Walmart on Friday, and it's really juicy, sweet, and delicious! A lot of times they aren't very sweet, but this one is really good. I just had some for breakfast today.

The small Gala apples purchased from HEB last week in a bag (think 3 lb) are really good, crunchy, and sweet. What may throw you is they are not the bright red shade you think they should be, kinda gold with tinges of pink, but this doesn't affect their taste. The white grapes are okay, not as good as they were.
