Tuesday, September 29, 2009, SAF, Inc (our local motion picture production company) held a full fledge movie premier. The movie, "From Mexico with Love" , is billed as a modern day "Rocky" movie and it lived up to it. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, the premier party and the red carpet treatment at the Pallidium Theatre.

I just found a link to a trailer on youtube. It looks like an enjoyable movie:

Nice film look. I like the way it was shot. I actually recognized some actors in that film. Good luck to the producers, hope it is a success.

Yes, at the beginning there was about a 10 minute preview of the studio and the 500 acres and what they were planning. A western town and various other sets. Then the flik started and it was good. The movie should be coming out some time this month. I saw it at the Palladium, but I'm sure it will be all over San Antonio. the movie has a feel of Rocky, but has a large presents of hispanic community. It should do real well in this area.

Could you go into more detail on the set? Will they be putting the preview online? I know the site, SAFStudiosinc.com but they don't have a 10 minute preview.

Any other info?

Lemonfresh. The sets aren't built yet. The 500 acres has several old buildings and homes, some from 1920's and another from 1890's. The plan is to refurbish the homes and buildings and use them as parts of sets and also studios. There are three lakes on the property and nice size oak trees. They are going to have a western set, a mediveil(sp) set, maybe a future set(?). The natural surroundings gives them the south Texas flavor. And they will be filming in and around San Antonio. They are planning on building a state of the art sound stage. dm me and I send you to my website with about 60 photos from Tuesdeay nite.
