We're temporarily at a hotel for the next few weeks until closing. Trying to find some good local family friendly fare. Any recommendations for us? We're right off 281 near Bitters. Thanks!!

Yep. If you want great burgers, Chester's is right at 281 & Thousand Oaks. For Mexican, Chuy's is great. They're by Barnes & Nobles at 281/1604. Though it's a chain, Texas Roadhouse (281/Donella) has great steak for the price. If you want great BBQ, 2 Brothers BBQ just opened up a while back on West Ave/Nakoma and it's awesome.

feeling...so...fat....

EZ's--281 and Bitters--good burgers and salads.
Miss Ellie's--wonderful pizza and garlic knots so good you'll slap your Mamma Mia-281 and Bitters on the other side
Little Italy--Blanco and West-ish--Excellent Italian food

Thanks so much y'all! Great tips. I have heard great things about Chester's. I am also craving some good italian, so I will have to check out Little Italy!

Any good local breakfast places, like for homemade kolaches, etc?

Shipley's has really good kolaches. Also, people have raved about the Valero kolaches on here, believe it or not. My son loves them, I know that!

Kev, thanks!! That is so funny, the folks that bought our place in Houston were from SA and TOTALLY recommended Magnolia! I had forgotten all about it. I am so glad it's close!
