Does anyone know of a Chinese restaurant with Honey Walnut Shrimp? I've been craving it and can't seem to find it anywhere. Thanks, Lindy

I drove by a Panda Express today and there was a sign for Honey Walnut Shrimp. Admittedly, it's the Taco Bell of Chinese food, but if you're really craving it, sometimes you take what you can get.

hee hee! I was thinking Panda, too! Their honey walnut shrimp is actually pretty tasty. I've never had anything "authentic" so have nothing to compare it to, but Panda's was tasty. Ask for some Mandarin sauce to dunk the shrimp into, also. weirdly yummy.

(NOT that I'm eating anything from Panda right now while I'm on my 90 day fitness challenge! )

Also maybe call Mencius or Formosa Gardens. They might have it.

I think I've seen it at CHINA SEA buffet, but it may have been coconut shrimp.

Too sweet for me

They have Honey Pecan Shrimp at Tong's Thai. Not walnut, but this is Texas afterall. Excellent restaurant BTW.

I know for sure that Golden Phoenix has it off of Perrin Beitel. They have a sister restaurant along 410 but I forget if its is Chopsticks or Fortune Cookie. I think it is Fortune Cookie. They may also have it. Worth a call.

Golden Phoenix has gone WAY down hill, they also didn't have it on my last (and it will be my last) visit.

Golden Wok on Wurzhbach has

Walnut Shrimp
Shrimp and sweetened walnuts with a
hot pepper tomato based sauce.

Welcome to the Golden Wok Website

They're stuff is usually very good.

Formosa Gardens does have it. From their menu:

Walnut Chicken 8.50
Sliced chicken sauteed with Vegetables and Honey Walnuts in spicy sauce

It is delicious.
