Today ground was broken and construction began for the museum reach portion of the Riverwalk extension. I was going to attend but became busy at the last moment. Anyone here attend?

Is this extension plan where the Riverwalk goes all the way to the Witte Museum/Brackenridge Park?

Here is a link to the site that explains all of the improvements. It's pretty impressive. You'll be able to walk, bike, or run from the missions on the southside to the Witte Museum/Incarnate Word on the northside.

And I was told I was a fool for buying property in Mahncke Park. I almost believed them, but thank God they were wrong.
I'm so excited to see the drainage ditch become a part of the world famous riverwalk.

San Antonio has what lots of cities do not have a tourist haven downtown. Stretching the area of tourism is genious. Mahchke Park has an awesome location, but most people do not have the patience or stomach for it. Figure in 10yrs Shane you can retire.

Shane, I don't think it's going to reach as far north as Mahncke Park, lol. But it won't be too far south of there. It is a great project and it will extend all the way from the Missions on the far south of town, but that reach hasn't broken ground yet.
