Going to check out SA for a possible move and we would like to check out Canyon Lake and the surrounding areas. We thought it might be fun, and economical, to camp at or near Canyon Lake. We do not have an RV or pop-out, just good old tents. Can anybody recommend some places?

Thanks,

jjuranko

While we don't camp, I have several friends who also tent camp and have found some nice areas around Canyon Lake. I will see if I can get info from them to share with you.

I know that it is a very popular place for camping/boating/swimming trips for the weekends for sure...so even tho I don't know the names of these spots, feel sure that you will find somewhere you enjoy to pitch that tent and enjoy being outdoors!
