If they were coming down 281 they could've used the San Pedro exit available before you take the 281/410 interchange...

this is not the only dangerous entry/exit that are too close to each other in SA. They exist at almost every major interchange. It is what it is.

This why when I am approaching the San Pedro exit on 410 West I stay in the far left hand lane, what a mess. People brake like crazy over there.

Well that's just a typical of all San Antonio drivers...'tis the only city in the country that I've ever been where people drive with their brakes!
