Has anyone been to or heard anything about this one called Castle Avalon on Hwy. 46 near New Braunfels?

Try this one. Overlooks the River but not on the River. One block from the Alamo. Old fashioned but nice and historic. Had some friends who stayed there. Historic furnishings too, and good security.

I love 2 wee cottages. My husband and I stayed there last year and the owners are so nice. They have delicious food for you too. You will have a great time. Check out there site too...

Thanks Sriley, we leave today after a trip to Austin to get the boys in school there and figure out where we are living up there! My dad stayed last week at 2 wee cottages and loved the afternoon desserts that Kate made for them. After dropping the kids off in Kerrville with the g'parents I am just looking forward to sleeping past 630am!
