RD- I called a while back and they hadn't made it to out area as of yet. Guess they have now. I would call them and switch, but we're out of here after the holidays sometime.

RD, are you ok with this, or did you upgrade?

Note: Although plans start at $49/month, the cheapest eligible for the $400 cashback appears to be around $132/month for the U200 TV, Internet, and phone pack, which includes up to 230 TV channels, 3Mbp/s high speed Internet access, and unlimited phone. (Lesser plans qualify for smaller cash back amounts; plan prices vary by location.)

we just ended our services with TWC and switched to DirecTV buuuuuut now we're having to find internet from somewhere else. ATT doesn't have service in our area and so now we're stuck trying to find an alternative. We came across Clear Internet, that new service, and the price is only $30 a month and $5 leasing fee for the box.

It sounds like a good deal. Does anyone have any experience with them? Good or bad! We're trying to figure something out quick. We don't have phone or internet at home and are pretty much very lost.

Any help or suggestions would be super!

Clear is getting rave reviews in SA. Talk to a rep, they can loan you a setup for a couple of days, so you can test it. I haven't heard anything negative about them at all!

I did upgrade the Internet speed, but will miss my RR Turbo. I'll see how it is for streaming video and live school sessions before I make any comments. The price did end up being about the same, but we'll gain DVR features in all rooms, several new channels including Comedy Central HD , and get the $400 card and $10/month off for 6 months for electronic statements. I can't stand paper statements anyhow, so that's just a bonus for something I would already do.
We will also hopefully get the Dish issue resolved for my son on Monday. The apartment complex is being a PITA with the placement and telling him he can't do something other residents are doing. The installer is going in with him to explain the law and I told him to make sure you point out the other residents that are not in compliance with their alleged policy. They will have to bring everyone else in compliance if they do not allow him to do it and that will get real ugly real quick. Grande is just the biggest ripoff in the world and I know they are in cahoots with the complex.

I just called TWC to cancel them and they were suddenly in the mood to negotiate prices. I told him they really should have tried that a while ago when I called and they didn't want to talk to me since I still had a few days left on my price-lock. I told the guy that to me, that sounded like we don't care, so now I'm telling you I don't care and just want to drop all service. There was no comeback for that one...
now I just need to hope at&t doesn't screw anything up.

well, they're off to a crappy start... the simple phone call to get them to not change my phone number didn't work and it took 7 different people to figure that out. The install also probably won't be happening because they can't get service to the home, even though they said they could. They're trying to fix it today and I'd highly recommend they do before I change my mind...
