Thai Dee off of Blanco Rd and Jackson Keller is reallllyyy good lol It looks a little shady when you park but its always busy and open on major holidays. Check their website Home | Thai Dee Restaurant I've tried Thai Topaz in Castle Hills and its decent but not my first choice.

+1 for Thai Dee on Blanco, good food and yes, open even on holidays.
I also will throw in my vote for Thai House on Rittiman.
Regarding Tongs Thai, they are good but I would not consider them authentic, more like "thai fusion".

Bumping this old thread. I'm new to town and we frequent Bangkok 54. One of the best Thai places I have been to outside of Thailand.

When I was here a month in a hotel (before I brought the family out) on 151/Wiseman I ate a few time a week at Sukhothai Thai on Tezel and it was solid.

Another great Thai option just opened up a few months ago. Since this thread got bumped I will add it.

Noppagao Thai Cuisine
5242 Fredericksburg Rd

I am real big on Thai food and so far my top three to go places are:

Thai Taste - Been going here for years but lately it has seemed to go downhill.
Thai O'cha (Kerrville)
and now Noppagao.

There is a Thai Vegan place on 15614 Huebner Road that has a good thing going with this tofu disguised as meat. You can barely tell the difference on some items. Watch the spice in the there though. It’s so spicy that while I was sitting there looking over the menu I could feel the spice in the air. It was already affecting my eyes. On that one to five scale I backed down to a two. A few hours later my back side was wishing I had gone with a one.

It has been a while i visited that place. What you recommend? I usually was fine with the scale 4-5.

I do like the food at Thai House (Rittiman Rd) and the buffet at Thai Cafe on Perrin Beutel.

Oddly enough they do their spice scale from 1-6. My wife gets a 2 and I get a 3 or 4.

I pretty much always get the chicken larb without carrots. I eat it at home with cabbage and rice. Sorry I can't give more recommendations from my palate.

My wife normally gets the massaman curry with a papaya salad. She absolutely loves the papaya salad. I've enjoyed the duck curry from there. She had gotten the pad thai and liked it. We like the Tom Kha when we've gotten it too.

An additional PLUS- only place I knew in SA that allowed personal wines with NO CORKAGE FEE- pretty good deal as they provided decent stemware. You pulled your own corks and served yourself.
