Anyone have any suggestions for airfares from San Antonio to Monterrey Mexico. The best deal I can find is $405 on Continental, wow, 11 hours layover in Houston.

Seems awful high price for such a short distance, I realize part of the problem are the Mexico flight taxes.

Any help would be appreciated. Leaving 12/26 returning 12/30.

Take bus from Alamo Street. Turimex.

It's about $80 round trip. Takes about 5 and 1/2 - 6 hours each way.

I haven't checked that specific flight, but generally it is cheaper to fly out of houston when flying internationally.

it was cheaper for me to fly from houston to dallas to mexico than it was to fly from sa.

It's been awhile since I made the trip, but always before the cheapest flight was through Aeroliteral, which is now AeroMexico. It was a straight shot from here into Monterrey.

Don't know if they still do, but they used a turboprop aircraft; so best to buy a pair of earplugs.

Why a 10 hour layover? Continental flies virtually hourly to IAH.

The bus is the best. Don't have to deal with TSA , cheap and the buses they run are decent. Use the site FCF listed earlier to scout out your times. It's in Espanol, but you'll figure it out.
