Hello Texans,
I lived in San Antonio during the 80's, and I keep having this persisting memory of a restaurant that featured belly dancers. To my recollection, it seemed that the dancers only appeared on Friday nights? And I also think it was located along the St. Mary's strip (if it's still known as such!).
I admit there is a happy little period of my time that is lost in a haze...so your help would put to rest this old memory that won't go away!
For the record, I LOVED living in S.A.! And I still have many (solid) happy memories of my years there.

I remember that place on St. Mary's. Its long gone now, but I can't remember the name, either. I think it might start with an L, though.

How about Demo's Greek Food? Various locations; check the dancers schedule here: Karavan Dance Studio - Belly Dancing
That's the dance studio that provides the dancers but the link does take you to the restaurant's website.

Did the owner of Nona's open Stefania's and Dolores Del Rio? I think that's what I heard somewhere. They both have belly dancing and the same owner.

I relocated to Boston, so that would be quite a drive!
But perhaps worth it...I loved living in S.A.! The people make it great.
