I seriously doubt your street is so narrow that one car parking on curbside inhibits other cars from passing. Don't you live in Alamo Ranch? I have yet to see any streets that narrow there, or in any other new development. We have cars parked on both sides of our street and there is still enough room for traffic to pass. I think you are exaggerating.

Secondly, there are numerous reasons why a car can be legally (and again, we must emphasize that word) parked in the street when there is room in the driveway. My situation is a good example, I keep my Jeep in the garage and move my car from the driveway to the street so I can get it out. If you think I am going to move it back into the driveway, the move it out again when I get home and need to put the Jeep back in to the garage, you are nuts!

This whole thing is ridiculous. You have been told by several people that as long it is legally parked (which it appears to be), there is nothing you can do about it. Don’t expect to generate much sympathy by posting out-of-focus pics on here, it isn’t going to help. And if you think calling the police about a car blocking someone else’s driveway will get a response, it will but it won’t be the one you expect. Most likely you will be told that unless it is your driveway being blocked, they won’t respond.

Just because you’ve made the transition from renter to homeowner, you don’t have any more authority to tell others how to live. As long as your neighbors aren’t violating the law or HOA restrictions, they are free to live and do whatever they please; and it is arrogant to believe you can impose your demands on someone else.

Actually, I sympathize more with your neighbors than I do you….
what i dont seem to understand that if my post bothers you so much why are you reading the thread anyway and continuing to post in it...just scroll over it..

I am not trying get much sympathy I am just ranting about an unsightly issue that resides in front of my home.

I dont live in Alamo Ranch I live in the Westover area. I used to live in Alamo Ranch.

As far as your jeep you keep it in the garage there are rare occasions that youre in the street.

Seriously, why take away from your own happiness and consume yourself with something you have no control over???
There is plenty of room when my vehicle is in the garage...thats why it looks spacious. But there are times when i park in my driveway and thats when it generates a problem.

I am enjoying my time just fine but when i go into my sons nursery and open the blinds to let some light in and all i can see is a car lot across the street its rather annoying.

I wll look for streets with 3100 square foot homes in San Antonio. I will look for cars parked on the street. I will deem these neighborhoods, "Unclassy."

I've had rockets and mortars shot at me over here. I think that is pretty unclassy. There are women in parts of the world who post other women guards so they don't get attacked in their sleep by roving gangs of men with rifles. In San Antoniio, a car parked on the street brings wrath and pain.

Oh, what pain it must be. I bet they are doing it just to spite the poster. They KNOW. Oh yeah, they know. In fact, they probably could park in their yard, but they're doing in on purpose and laughing about it over dinner.

"Pass the potatos, dear." "Will do." "Oh, and did you park in the street again to infuriate our neighbors?" "Of course. What else is there in life, but to park on the street and laugh at those who would deem such behaviour, "Unclassy?" "I certainly agree with that, Love Nugget.....could you pass the roast beef, please? Ah ahahah hahaha!"
I did my time down range and believe me ive been to the crap 3rd world countries with cars parked all over the place that doesnt mean when I come home I want to be reminded of them everytime i look out my front door.

Then this would be a noise ordinance issue. CD'ers who know the ordinances, please chime in.

Mrsb057,
I didn't read the whole thread, but the first thing I recommend you doing is calming down a little and realize that everybody has neighbors that are annoying and there might even be some people that feel the same way about you.

There's only so much you can do,
and the same thing goes for anybody that tries to tell you how to have your house.

It's a balance between freedoms to give up and freedoms to enjoy.
Just don't let something that is never going to change like people parking in front of their house ruin the time that you should be enjoying your house.

BTW, what's "moobs"? is that "monster ......"?
