Errrr...maybe you should read his post, he states he is moving back to San Antonio! I would suspect he enjoyed living here, as most of us do, since he is returning, the same as we did.

just moving there, now but without the experience of knowing how much to pay for rent and such. just need some guidance as to some good locations/deals, etc.

thanks again.

to be more specific, my wife is from sa and i often traveled and stayed for long periods of time before our marriage. I pretty much lived there for a year total.

Moderator cut: off topic the vast majority of people who live here love it, as was our case. We were stationed here between two European assignments, and when the time came to find a place to retire, there really wasn't any other choice. SA is a great town with a relatively low cost-of-living. There are numerous apartment complexes along the northern parts of 1604 so finding a nice one within your price range shouldn't be a problem.

A quick question though, when was the last time you were here? We were amazed at how much the city had grown during our time away (2002-2005), and compared to when I first came here on a regular basis in the early 90s it has changed a lot! Actually, my first experience with SA was in 1981 (USAF basic training) and I returned six years later for AFROTC training; but most of those two experiences were spent on Lackland AFB and not having the most enjoyable time...
