Hi everyone,

I have been suffering from anxiety and IBS for years now and I am looking to try a holistic doctor as my next attempt at treatment. Does anyone know of any board-certified well recommended holistic doctors? (preferably women!)

Thank you so much

I don't have a recommendation, I'm sorry. But thought you might find some information as well as references through the Mothering.com forums. They have some fantastic holistic advice, articles, etc. MotheringDotCommunity Forums - Powered by vBulletin

eta: you might try the forums on Health/Healing as well as Finding Your Tribe. I hope they're able to help.

I'd love to find a more natural doctor as well, just haven't really had a purpose to search one out quite yet. Here's a bump, I'd love to see referrals from others also.

GL, I hope you find someone great very soon.

If you look in the AT&T yellow pages under Alternative Medicine & Health Practitioners or under Naturopaths, there are some listings there...don't know much about this myself. Also, check at Whole Foods and Sun Harvest...I've seen some publications/ads there. I can't help you on recommendations, although I'm thinking of trying this also.

I would also like the names of any medical/dental practioner who practices a more holistic approach to health care. It is difficult to find new practioners after having the same ones for 10+ years and trying to find one that your insurance will pay for is harder. If I have any luck, I will post.

Default Anxiety and IBS

Hi, I don't know if you have had any luck, but I suffer from the same issues plus I'm pretty sure I have developed an ulcer. There are several things I do for the anxiety and IBS, that I have had sucess with, if you are interested in discussing it further, let me know.

I'll tell you something better (and save you money and your health) than a holistic regiment that a holistic doctor would likely recommend: Buy Dr Natura's Colonix (powder) product. I probably can't put the link on here so google it.

I have used their Colonix powder since 2005 along with my brother, Dad and my aunt.

Go to their website and read their hundreds and hundreds of testimonials dating back years ago.

All disease starts in the colon and most people are plugged with gross stuff just "sitting there" for years and years due to our very bad diet in America.

Also, don't go for "knock off" products as this is the only read deal product.

My dad actually tried this.. I'm just so paranoid it will give me diarrhea... I have enough of that it's hard to mess with my diet at all out of fear.
