**Jumping music, slick deejays, fog machines and laser rays
Lookout weekend cause, here I come
Because weekends were, made for fun**

Oh man, my generation of mid to late 20 somethings HEARTED the skating rink. Because we were way too young for the clubs, but still wanted to be "cool" the skating rink was where our parents would drop us off on weekends. Anytime my friends and I hear freestyle, we immediatly think SKATING RINK!

Do they still not have bathroom doors? I remember friends making a door of bodies for us whenever we had to hit the ladies room.

That's it!! It was known as Northport or Northporte back in the 60's. San Pedro At Recoleta and Jackson-Keller. It was the only alternative after Hemisfair came and St. Mary's Roller Rink closed. Although we did find a small rink in a small town south of SA. Maybe in Macdona or Lytle.

OMG!!! LOVE IT!!!

remember the beat between Jumpin' music *tha na na na* Slick Dj's *tha na na na* Fog machines *tha na na na* and laser rays *tha na na na* ...

more important, do you remember the dance move for *tha na na na* part??? --- the hands up in the air, to the side, one on top of the other, moving front and back ... dang, those were the days ... of course I'm about 10 years older than you, so me and my friends were in the clubs dancing to that song, but it was our FAVORITE song of the time!!!

thanks for the memories!!!
