I know that about San Antonio,
that's why I was wondering if the rodeo is the same way.

I've been to many places in the US where people would quickly let me know that "they don't welcome everybody there" (I'm saying that from experience)

San Antonio is a big milatary town, there are no pockets of racists here...we all grew up with each other and no body looks at you funny if you on one side of town or the other...Im sorry to say this, but you might not even get noticed.

this town holds the largest Dr. MLK Marches in the nation, with about 100,000 marchers for the each of the past 6 years.

I'm very aware of that,
I felt the same way about other places... but I would have never gone to their rodeos.

So are you asking for you? or your co-workers husband? or both?

Just go.....explore...have fun. The kids will love the animals and get a taste of a different type of culture. Just people watching is fun!

Why would it matter if I'm asking for me or somebody else?

Do I have to tell you the story again of why I'm asking?
I wrote it on the very 1st post.

Matter? no. Your initial question was clear. But you seem to be answering for yourself.....

Just trying to clarify who to address things to. You have small children....children like animals.....the rodeo has animals...therefore you children would probably like the rodeo.

As far as your co-workers husband....he apparently already stated he didn't want to go for unknown reasons.

Is The San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo Minority Friendly? Well Pardner just ask Luke "Leon" Coffee. He is probably the most Famous Rodeo Clown in the World. He's Black and He's Loved by all the Rodeo Fan's.

Now the Rodeo does not have any tolerance for them there Shepler's and Cavender's "Drugstore Cowboy's". By the looks of their parking lots this past week there will be ton's of them there.
