I find most of the people who complain about SA's dining options have not been to SA's best restaurants. Not that there isn't work to be done, but even in the past 3 years it has come a long way.

The Company Theatre is some good stuff! They have shows at the Order Up on 10/Colonnade and Little Italy but they are good! I wholeheartedly recommend The Complete Works of Willliam Shakespeare. Tickets are cheap, about $15 each but if you do dinner and show, it's a bit more.

I didn't make it. The mixed reviews on the new restaurant have kept me away.

Do tell, how was it?

I'm a bit reformed on Dady and we had a nice conversation about my thoughts and his thoughts. He's a good guy.

I was invited to the event, but am still in Key West. I would have enjoyed going. Good turnout of people? I heard 500 were expected.

It was a great turn out.

Each of Dady's restaurants were featured throughout the Fairmont, the theme was "A Culinary Journey through San Antonio". I was really impressed with the food, the set up and the staff throughout each restaurant section.

My favorites were the parmesan cups with goat cheese mouse and the avacado pizza at Insignia, the grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato jam at Bin 555 and the dark chocolate cake at The Lodge.

My non vegetarian friend enjoyed the steak tartare at Bin 555 and the tounge n cheek at Insignia and the meat balls at Tre.

Each restaurant also had a signature drink paired with the food tasting.

Dady was very gracious and hospitable. He announced his joining with the SA Public Library Foundation and the Dady Literary Feast Series which will offer events based on books.

The Fairmont had a few suites open for perusal. That hotel is just so beautiful.

Didn't make it. Glad to hear you had a good time, though.

I'm on record as being a fan of what Jason is doing in (almost) all his joints. It's really great for SA, and I admire what he's doing both as a chef and a businessman.

Insignia has been problematic on both my visits, though.

Bookmarked! I love SA and your great food! Planning a trip there in a few months to take in the Riverwalk and some of the finest food in the country.
