I know a lot will depend on location and size, but on average for a 2 bedroom apartment or home in the SA area, what would I pay for rent?

I used to pay around $650 for a one bedroom in the med center. That included a washer/dryer. For a 2 bedroom you could probably expect to pay somewhere in the neighborhood of $1000 depending on actual size and location.

Speaking in averages only....expect about $1 per square foot per monthly rent. That's for a nice property in a good area. Depending on amenities that can vary a little.

There was an article recently in the EN that stated the single family home rentals are in abundance right now and rental prices are becoming more competitive in that market. Shop around and don't be afraid to bargain...especially on deposit money etc.

Not to steal Jjuranko thread but I was wondering how most apartments in SA looked at people with a very recent bankruptcy.

Yes, it's about $1 per sq. foot for a decent place.

Default NE inside 410

near Oakwell Farms -
I live in a fairly new complex (I think less than 10 years old). I have a 2/2, 1138 sqft and market rent is about $1000-$1200. I think it is a decent deal for the location.

North and Northwest side of town.......apts. may be a bit higher due to HOA
Homes..........HOA or non HOA.....$1.00 per square foot is the correct answer.......if you find something with a swimming pool, stables, maid's quarter, etc, then, yea. rent will go much higher......like 5$/sq ft. However, a decent house, will go for 1.00/ sq foot.
