Scout Bar is good depending on what band is playing. North St Mary strip is great place to go to get away from all the ultra lounges and hang out with a different crowd.

Totally depends on the kind of crowd the OP likes to run with. Maybe if she would clue us in to some of her preferences (especially regarding music), it would help us out.

I have a pretty daughter whose boyfriend doesn't do clubs. She goes out with her girlfriends and loves to country-western dance. She says Cowboys is the only place to go. The men are gentlemen, and she always gets to dance A LOT.

Luz is the place in Stone Oak over by Green Fields Market, right? What type of place is it? I've thought about going there because it doesn't seem to get crowded. I prefer a quiet place to drink and don't care for crowds. I just went to Walgreens tonight (Friday night, almost midnight) and when I drove by Luz was empty, I almost pulled in for a drink.
