Anyone else have a love/hate relationship with these trees? I swear, our neighbors' pear trees sprouted green leaves and flowers overnight, it seems. My eyes are itchy and funky! I have to go to Walgreens and get some more Opcon-A drops. For all you folks that have really bad spring allergies, I think we're going to be hit especially hard this year. Hoo-wee (rubbing eyes)...

No love for them here. But that's because they grow too quickly, and are weak and short-lived.

My love/hate is due to the smell LOL. I guess it's not so noticeable here because they aren't as plentiful. Back in Maryland they were everywhere and once the flowers bloomed the smell was horrendous! But back to allergies....that's the beauty of Texas. It's year round allergies so if it's not one thing it's another!
