mcl you must be young. You don't have to wait till Mother's Day. You've got Administrative Professionals Day (and face it, YOU probably do all the admin stuff around the house), Earth Day (where we all live) and Battle of Flowers (Viva Fiesta) to celebrate long before Mother's Day gets here. Choose one and go have your feast. And when Mother's Day arrives? go again!

We had a mountain of baby back ribs that were fall-off-the-bone, squarsh (as my MIL calls squash) and sweet potatoes, with some fresh rolls. Delicious meal and then we napped. LOL I NEVER do that at someone else's house, but I couldn't help myself. Best.Nap.Ever.

Default I wish I could blame it on being young...

The ol' grey mare just ain't what she used to be!! No youngster here..Don't I wish that was my excuse!!! I just completely blitzed on the ham/pork.

We went to Ounce the night before Easter with another couple...no holding back on anything... it was a great time with friends food and wine! Easter dinner was just a let down compared to what I was craving. My hubby had made this coca-cola-bourbon glazed ham before and I just blitzed at HEB with the ham/pork. (The recipe did say RAW! ) Just a pre-senior moment I guess.

Thankfully there were leftovers from Ounce, and I got into those after Easter dinner....

Every now and then I just enjoy an elaborate Sunday brunch... and the occasion to do so. We go out plenty, I just like to do the big Sunday brunches on the more traditional holidays for some reason...weird I know.

Mmmm baby back ribs... need to do that soon....
Now I'm hungry.

Oh, I thought "young" if you were thinking you have to wait for Mother's Day.

Besides, I totally blame the butcher for botching things.
