No, just rain. No tornadoes, no hail, no high winds, none of that garbage. Just rain to make it green and fill up the lakes. I'd like my last view of this place to be a pleasant one, please..

My weather radio siren just went off and indicates that a tornado watch is in effect.

Yep, tornado watch til 3 AM. Strong cell moving through Bexar right now that's capable of producing small hail. It's not severe at this time, but I'll keep you posted should that change.

Cutting back on rainfall forecasts for this system. I'm thinking the worst of the weather is over locally as the upper level low has moved further north than originally expected. Some scattered light showers will be possible through tomorrow, but I think the severe threat is pretty much over.
....

UPDATE from NWS confirming my thoughts:
Quote:
Models are now showing a decreasing threat overnight. Dry air aloft is pushing over the western areas and I think the batch of thunderstorm activity that is now pushing east of I-35 might be the last of the significant rain overnight. While I cant totally rule out additional activity...the threat level is way down...in fact we will be lowering the chances of rain and cancelling a portion of the flash flood watch over the western half of the area.

Heavy rains of 1-3 inches are still likely to occur east of I-35 from a Hutto down to San Marcos line...and areas north of Interstate 10.

Many of the creeks and streams are flooded and the danger overnight will continue especially with the low water crossings. Driving overnight is still discouraged.

Those isolated cells I told you about today did develop, and now we have a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Bexar County until 8:30 pm

I got a load of hail off Blanco and Wurzbach at about 7:15 PM. It coated the ground in about 15 minutes. Hail was the size of cherry pits.

I wonder if that image is of the same storm system that's coming through Galveston right this second. Got caught in TERRIBLE rain last night around 11:50 PM going through Sealy. Worst rain I've ever driven through in my entire life.
