No. We've set a record for September and still have a week to go.

Good grief no. While we’ve only lived here 15 years it seems to me that when we do break droughts it’s like this past couple of weeks with historical or near-historical rainfalls. Not to diminish those who have suffered loss of property or life from this latest series of storms but we’ve actually had close to the same or smaller amounts of rain in shorter periods of time that have led to much more flooding and losses.

This past weekend was one of the wettest that I can remember in awhile. Didn't see any hail despite the warning about that.

It can be overcast and humid. Then hot and sunny. Then windy with fierce thunderstorms on the horizon. Then heavy downpour of rain that brought multiple inches of water. All this past Sunday.

Then absolutely beautiful

Bulverde area

It was on October 17-18th, 1998 - I just moved to the US/TX/San Antonio from overseas, and remember watching in horror, from my apartment window, as the water was rising and entering my car that was standing under the carport (one-foot water was inside the car, but it was salvaged. A good old Nissan Sentra).
Storms dropped 15.66" of rain on the city. The flooding killed 31 people.

June/July 2002From June 30–July 7 excessive rainfall fell in the South Central Texas and the Edwards Plateau regions with some areas receiving more than 30 inches of rain. A record 16.14" of rain fell in San Antonio. Damage was estimated at more than $2 billion.
