It mentions they are going to build a meat processing location in the area to support the dallas stores. They also say that stores have to be within 500 miles of the processing plants to get deliveries every other day and keep from freezing the product. Give them some time for them to get their infrastructure in place and see that it works. As they ramp up production they can expand.

There is a lot of meat needed and once they have a base here they will be in a better place to go out and secure the rest of the infrastructure they need to expand out.

Be serious. You do not build a multimillion dollar meat processing location to support only a few stores.

One last bit. If you look at their track record. They have added over 100 stores in the last 10 years. I took them almost 60 years to hit 140 stores. Now they stand at over 240. The old guard that did not want the company to grow big is gone. The downside is it may not be as good as when it was being heavily guarded and quality control was so high a priority.

I remember when they expanded to LV, man the lines were insane. The one next to UNLV was beyond long.

I completely agree with you. In-N-Out will eventually expand to all four major markets in Texas.

well think about it. The current processing center supports 240+ stores and is capable of more as they are still expanding in the area. They will not make any money from the franchises till they pay off the cost of the processing plant. That is going to take dozens of stores and they are going to want them to show up pretty quickly. I say give it 5 years. They will be statewide. and probably in LA, OK, NM, etc. take Dallas and draw a 500 mile radius circle. They are going to be all over in a few years.

Given how they like to go I would think we would have 3 or 4 here. On the other hand the Krystal burgers did not do so well here.

I remember Krystal in Florida and I also remember White Castle in Michigan and I'm not surprised Krystal did not do too well. IMO when comparing the two small square little hamburgers, White Castle is far and away much better.

Heard alot good things about In & Out burger before coming to this forum and I'm ready to try 'em out or err 'in'

I'll be eating a ton of White Castle next week! Never eat at Krystal, maybe once or twice I have.

No way, Kyrstal burgers are far better! Mustard belongs on a burger, not ketchup!

And there's a reason why it's called an "in and out" burger, much the same as Krystal/White Castles are called "sliders"...
