Who would you recommend as the best in San Antonio to purchase a cake for a special event?

How special? I saw some absolutely gorgeous ones yesterday at the HEB at Evans and 281 . . . but for great tasting, nice looking, and the PRICE, Costco at 1604 & 281 can't be beat.
There's a small Cheesecake shop / bakery or whatever near Sun Harvest at 1604 & 281. I heard they did a cake for Jenna Bush's wedding. ??? Who knows if it's true but that's what I heard.

I think the best cakes in town come from Lucy's cake shop. I know they have 2 locations the one I go to is SW loop 410 you can look up the number and call for directions. I always get birthday cakes from them and have never been disappointed. Good luck.

The Cake Shoppe in Stone Oak and by Ih-10/wurzbach have some great cakes, but can be pricey. We have bought there for special occasions.

I second Lucy's. They've been around forever. They did my wedding cake way back in 1989 and they're very good!

Le Cake in Olmos Park is the best! My friend ordered my baby shower cake from there and it was the best cake I've ever had. She does amazing work!
