Hello,
I am looking for a great neighborhood that has excellent schools and is within a 20 minute commute from NE Loop 410 and N New Braunsfels Avenue just south of the airport. We are looking for a larger home, at least 4 bedrooms, but in a neighborhood with trees. Also, very family friendly with maybe a swimming pool, swim team, parks and activities for the kids. I haven't been able to find any neighborhoods without the airplane noise. Could you recommend some neighborhoods to check out? Great public schools are the most important, since I have three children. Also, our price range is around $300,000.
Thank you for all and any advice.

I love this forum!

Canyon Springs, which is north of Stone Oak. Many different sections that are in your price range and most are in NEISD.

Good luck.

Inwood / Deerfield area.. Mission Ridge, Hidden Forest, Oak Hollow, Santa Fe Trail... zip 78248 or 78232. Might be a little hard to find a wide variety of homes under 300K in 78248. Both are great areas!

Also- I wouldn't stress too much about airport noise. Depending on where you choose, you very well may hear it. But you DO get used to it. I promise. They fly right over my house and after the first 3 days, I hardly hear them any more. I'm in 78248.

Beat me to it. In 78248 for ~$300K I think a buyer would be looking at around ~2,500 square feet, or larger if it's "cosmetically challenged."

The village of Hollywood Park has the same schools as these recommendations.

I'll second those and the aforementioned Deerfield neighborhoods.
