i guess you really have to go down there and see it to see how bad it is... its not surprising that everyone in the neighborhood is pissed
Some people? Probably. Everyone? Nope. There are plenty in the neighborhood who like it or who, like me, wouldn't have picked the colour themselves but see its appeal.

And yes, I've seen it in person. I live very near it. It's certainly eye catching and it works with the surroundings. Kudos to the owners for not being afraid to go with something other than drab brown or tan.

One thing to remember is that this is Southtown: an area which prides itself on its artistic, eclectic, unique community.

It's bright, it's colorful, I have not seen the building in person but we can all use some color in our lives. Too much drab sad colors out there, we need more lively colors. I like the risks some of our foreign counterparts take in regards to building colors, architecture, etc. Research proves it; color improves mood! Your mileage may vary: what one person may find one color is another ones stressor.

AAAHHHH...free publicity!!!! I would say they're doing pretty good. Their only expense was a few cans of pink paint, and now everyone is talking about them!

Not that my opinion matters, but I agree. It's really a salmon color that seems entirely appropriate for the architecture. As I look out my office window, I think about how drab the library would be if it were beige instead of red (hopefully the repainting will bring its color back), and how boring the Cadillac Lofts would be if it were brown instead of yellow.

How does the original stay standing? It looks like it might colapse. I asked the waiter there one time and he couldn't give me a good answer. I love their goat chesse appetizer. What if the new one, because of it's color, turns into a gay bar? No problem with them, they throw great parties. I'm just like "what if?"

The old leaning building stays standing due to the original pine that was used. The wood has pretty much petrified strong and solid!
