Irie's on Fredericksburg! (Not really a "nightclub," more like a "hole in the wall" but charming and unique none-the-less.

I will have to dig out my negatives from all the pictures I took at Broadstreet. The owner Marvin was a friend and I took pics there all the time beginning in 1989 till the end when it became the Hippodrome. Also took pics when they opened Country Down Under below Broadstreet and have a picture when they were cutting into the concrete to make the opening in the basement which was the entrance you walked down into. Had alot of friends from there and many photos from both places throughout the years. The place was like a big Cheers.

the one that used to be on Perrin Beitel access road was called Zig Zag's.

How about Rockwave? or The Rock Saloon on West Ave.? But Sneakers was by far the most memorable. That, and Broad Street at Central Park Mall with its "5 clubs in 1".... good times!

Default Wow...This takes me back

I guess I spent too much time drinking and not enough working, because I can't remember all the people I worked with, but btw 82 and 86, I spent time behind the bar in a few of these clubs.
I worked at Tiffany Billards and at the little place at 410/Perrin Beitel with the funny colored tables....Copper Dollar? Finished up my bar days in Doc Holliday and later Scratch. (LaFranz Sunday and Monday...fun times)
Anybody that has pictures or personal memories from working in those places, I would love to talk.
Paul

I remember that the Olive Garden in the parking lot in front of the Shepler's by Ingram used to be a night club or bar back in the day but I can't remember what it was called. Also, where Chopsticks is, that used to be a club/bar too if I am not mistaken. Perhaps one of you may remember...

There was an alternative club out near the airport/281 area-I can't remember the name? Changes? I was in high school so they allowed minors in. This was around 88. I was there every weekend
