Hi, Everyone!

Would appreciate any info on decent neighborhoods near either of the two golf courses mentioned, or any other good ideas! It appears these two places are relatively close to Fort Sam Houston. Also, are these decent places to live? I have read on this forum that the Converse and Kirby areas are not the best places to live.

It sort of depends on if you have children in school and want to send then to public school. The Judson schools are ok, for sure not what they were in the past. There are some very cute golf villas right on the course and some older homes that are nice. We long term residents in the area are hoping with all the jobs coming into Fort Sam the area will rebuild itself into a place people will recommend again. I have lived there since the early 80's and still see promise.

Woodlake is a nice area but I would not recommend buying a house there unless it's in the older home area by the golf course listed above.
