Anybody here remember or have any inside knowledge of this venue tax?
Seems like with Skyline SE Pony, there's been some problems with how the money is being spent. I played at this park many years ago. My Dad and many other Dads on the SE part of town helped make this baseball field a reality. If you've read the paper or internet news lately, it seems that a lot of self interests are being satisified here. While I think overall this venue tax was good for Bexar County, if you look at who got the money and who sat on the board that decided who got the money, you'd be little bit concerned. More later......

Ok, here's the more later....The people that sat on the committee to recommend how the sports venue program of this venue tax was to be spent all received partial, or full funding, of their own programs/agendas. I, and many others around town, did not know about this committee or its' goals prior to it being the final agenda item. We were told, so sorry, but your too late...How is it that the richest and largest Little League in San Antonio got several million dollars and the other twelve or so Little Leagues in San Antonio were left out?
