I agree with scuba steve... Flying Saucer!

If you need live music there, I could show up with my Fiesta maracas.

I'm pretty sure I've seen it on the menu... probably around the bar area? But I could swear I've seen wine there before.

TTG ~ I'm gonna basically say "ditto" to what 2DMaxx said. Freetail Brewing is your place!!!! Yes, they do have wine! And the best handcrafted beer around! Super cool place, NOT "hoity toity" (ya KNOW I wouldn't be there if it was ). It's fun!!!

Like others have posted, Freetail is a chill place to have that type of event. Brasserie Pavil is an option as well. There's also StoneWerks at I-10/1604 and 1604/281. Paesano's has a nice patio so they might be able to accomodate a crowd there?

Wow, thanks for all the suggestions. It looks like Freetail Brewing Co wins (on here at least). I will suggest it and hopefully that will be the place.

Just a thought, you say after work. I don't know how late that is to you, but the live music at Freetail doesn't start until 9.

That said I love Freetail. I've been a regular since it opened.

Good point. We are going to meet later in the evening around 8:00.

What kind of music is played at Freetail?

If you're still undecided, I'd like to suggest Copa Wine Bar on Stone Oak and Huebner. They were just voted Best Wine Bar in Current Magazine for 2010. The owners and staff are super friendly and helpful and they have many affordable wines, by the glass or full bottles, flights, beer and sangria. They also have tapas on the menu. It is relaxing and a great place to get together as they can accommodate your group and they do have specials during the week. Just a suggestion. Hope y'all have fun wherever you end up.

Boston Pub is a nice place, but they really get crowded. Long wait for drinks sometimes...but a good vibe in the place
