You guys ever been in this place? It's HUGE and full of great furniture (and some weird stuff, but you know).

It's located at 5254 Blanco. We had been looking for a little chest of some sort for our entryway, but hadn't found anything. We didn't want to spend much on it, so our budget was about $100. Anyway, we just happened by this place in the course of running our errands this morning, so we wheeled in and found the perfect little piece immediately. Yes, it's "used" so it isn't perfect, but it's in great shape, and once we replace the gold (ugh!) fittings for brushed nickel it'll be gorgeous.

And to top it off, the people working there were very friendly and helpful.

I've been there too! Love it since I can pick up a piece that's made of real sturdy wood, sand it, and paint it to my hearts content. Glad you found a jewel!

Gonna have to go check it out, we're looking for a good cedar chest for the foot of the bed.

Thanks for posting. I'm looking for the perfect "corner piece" for my kitchen. Went all the way to Austin today for the City-Wide Garage Sale, and TOTALLY FORGOT to MEASURE MY CORNER. Oh well, maybe I can stimulate locally.

I used to go there all the time, but now with no car it doesn't work.

But they do have good stuff!

They must get a lot of donations from the major (boring mass market) furniture chains because I see a lot of brand new items at FFAC. However, I found their prices on both new and used furniture really expensive. Been there several times and not found anything of interest or a reasonable price range for what you're getting.

What happens if you make them a counter-offer? Lots of the places like that WILL negotiate....quickly.

TexasRedneck, I don't think they negotiate - I saw a sign that said all prices were final, so I assumed they wouldn't consider a lower price.

hehehe - sorry, but I've been known to negotiate with the "one simple price" dealers - and get a better price!
