Hello everyone,
I am in need of a dentist for my three children but do not have dental insurance. Where do I go to find a good dentist who is also affordable? Does anyone know of a good dental insurance? My husband is self-employeed and does not have bennifits. Just signed up with BlueCross BlueShield for medical insurance and my deductable is outragous. Can anyone recommend a better medical insurance?

Try the University Dental School. They do work on an ability to pay, I think. It's students with mentors working with them. I've never been there myself, but people I know who have been there are satisfied.

Yeah, I signed up for me and my Dad on their website but when I called to see if I could change some information from my application they also informed me it could take up to a year to hear back from a student (who will work on your teeth).

I think the school takes people based on what their need is and what the school is working on
students do different types of proceedures at different stages in their rotation--
and if they are working on filings then someone needing a root canal is not going to be served

I know someone who teaches there--for the most part I think the students are trying to do good work and there is always an dentist there watching chairside and checking on progress...

I think every place on this list provides services based on income of the patient--YOU may think you qualify for a free or low-cost dental treatment but the agencies may not because your income may be higher than their guidelines...
