We got one name from our pediatrician, but she was pretty sure most allergist wouldn't see my daughter until she turned 2. She's 12 months. Anyone have a good allergist recommendation? Thanks!

Dr Joseph Diaz: dr joseph diaz san antonio - Google Maps

He has offices in the medical center, and in Stone Oak. He sees both pediatric and adult patients. My son and husband both see him.

When my son was very little (< 1 yr), he tested positive for a peanut allergy. We carefully kept him away from peanuts; however, several incidents happened that made us question whether he was truly allergic. Our (then) allergist just shrugged it off, and told us to deal with it. Dr Diaz listened to our story, and immediately said- so, you need to know whether you need to fear for his safety every day, correct? He got it. Based on the information we gave him, he challenged him with peanuts in his office...and guess what? He was NOT allergic!!

He still sees him for seasonal allergies. But I love the fact that he truly LISTENED to us.

So glad you said that. Dr. Diaz is exactly who my daughter is scheduled to see in a couple weeks. I'll keep the appointment.

I take my daughter to Dr Bruce Martin. I know he sees pediatric patients. We've been happy with him. They have a website--http://www.swallergyasthma.com/

Smile Pediatric allergists

There are 2 pediatric allergy groups listed in the AT&T yellow pages, Drs. Michael & Adrianne Vaughn 210-499-0033 and Dr. Miguel Martinez 210-692-9555. Both offices will see patients of any age. Allergy problems don't just start at age 2.
Yvonne.
