Looking for some place that carries about a size 26/28 womens, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Something COMFY that looks good too. And carries good sports bras as well.

Looking for a place to get good shoes to wear to the gym as well without spending an arm and a leg. I'm tricky to fit in my feet due to scar tissue on one foot.

Anyone have any recommendations in town? I'm joining the Gym {Planet Fitness} next month when I get paid, and need some clothing and shoes beforehand.

I would check out Just My Size, which is sold at Wal-Mart or online. The Avenue is a good place, too, when you can get deals. Dress Barn sometimes has workout clothes, but really is more work clothes. TJ Maxx gets Lane Bryant stuff.

As for shoes, I usually buy online. The Sketchers Shape Ups are amazingly comfy, but expensive. You can go to one of the Sketchers outlet stores around town- they have some good prices there. I know there's one at 410 and Ingram and one on SE Military near 35.

I buy workout clothes at Ross or Marshalls. I'm not sure if they carry your size, but you should check them out because they are priced well. Good luck and congrats on joining a new gym!

Old Navy has great work out stuff in plus sizes on-line only. You can return it to a local store, if it doesn't work for you.

When I wore that size (and actually even now), I would mainly get my clothes at Ross, Cato, or Goodwill/Salvation Army. I didn't want to spend a lot knowing/hoping I will need to buy smaller size clothes in a month or so. As far as sports bra's, I got some good deals at the champion website. I will use a coupon code along with a shipping deal. They have a guide that shows which bra's have what kind of support. Ross also has good sports bra's, it's just luck of the draw if they have your size. If they do, it's a steal.
The one thing I would def spend money on are a good pair of tennis shoes. I didn't think it mattered and just bought some at Costco. I eventually went to a running store and was fitted for a correct shoe, it made a huge difference.

If you're needing oversized workout clothes, why not be an optimist and rent them?
