I wish they would get them before they go thru the turnaround, when they are driving on the grass on the left to get past everyone. I could really care less that they are driving on the grass but there are HUGE pot holes right there and the other day I had a lady come about 1" from my truck so that she wouldn't hit the pot hole. Then she gets mad at me and all I was doing was sitting in the lane (ON THE ROAD). I was over to the right as far as I could go. If I would have been in my hubby's truck her little car would not have looked so purty afterwards, but I wasn't going to mess up my $500 fender flares I just put on mine .
Better yet, I wish the county/state would add some pavement there to extend the legal turn lane. Traffic backs up bad there and that would help some.

Good idea. That would help tremendously. They could extend it all the way back to the exit ramp.
Don't hold your breath though

Now, far be it from me to suggest anyone complain, but some of the local news orgs. might find it of interest that they're being SO aggressive in their enforcement efforts (w/regard to the WC site), and presenting a significant Public Safety issue at the 1604/Bandera site.

I'm a big supporter of LE, but NOT of ones that are out there only for the $$$, and from what I can gather from my sources, that's their main focus...so have at 'em!
Exactly.....Pct 2 is and has always been money grubbin.....compare their traffic court lines to any other precinct in the city. Thanks also to the Bexar County Officer on the motorcycle yesterday for making 15 cars slam on their brakes with you hauling butt getting on Loop 1604 from Bandera, so you could find a better vantage point for catching all us "lawbreakers"

SAPD was doing this yesterday on S. Laredo under I-35. They pulled over a car full of kids in the back. I'm guessing they are stepping up the Click It or Ticket thing and new car seat laws.

The police cars are well hidden which I suppose is good for them since a driver would be committed to going by them by the time he/she noticed the police cars. However, it causes all drivers to stop or nearly stop as they come under the overpass and thus is causing several near miss rear-end accidents as cars approach the turnaround.

I don't mind the roadblocks but think the police need to reconsider their location!
You can let the Non-Emerg Hotline know about this by calling 207-7273 and giving them an earfull. I have it programmed on my cell phone whenever I see things like this.

SAPD was doing the same thing at 281 and Bitters, the turn-around for north bound to south bound.
Moving smoothly. They were off the lane and pulling folks off for what ever violations they saw. Better than chasing them down the highway.

Take a video of this going on and put it on YouTube and several others.
Also call the local networks and tell what you've posted and where they can find it.
The roadblocks will probably disappear shortly after that.

My dh just told me that he saw a cop park in a Bill Millers parking lot, walk to the street and start pointing at people to pull over. WOW!!

It doesn't really bother me because I always wear my seatbelt and my truck is all legal.

I must agree. I saw them parked on the turn around at Culebra and 1604 with someone pulled over. There was plenty of room for traffic to go past.

If you're doing everything legal then you don't have anything to worry about.
