Does anyone know a good furniture repair place/person? I have a sleeper sofa that is still in great condition but someone sat down and leaned back and broke the wood support that runs across the back of the couch, we heard the crack. It seems simple enough to fix. Any recommendations. Thanks!

I had the same problem except our was on the bottom. We did the fix ourselves after buying a DIY book and it still didn't remedy the couch.
I called around and after pick up fees around $75 and repairs around $125, it just wasn't worth it to us. We bought another couch instead.
Depends on how you paid for it and how much it is worth to you to be fixed.
I don't have any recommendations, just a similitude story to yours. Good luck whichever route you decide to take.

You might also try to post for general carpenters or handymen on Craiglist.org in the job section. There's always a lot of people looking for work on there.

You might run into some local person who is a fix-everything-kind-of-person.

If you decide to do this...post pictures and/or email the person pictures of what you would like fixed so that person can hopefully give you a rough estimate.
