Hey guys!

Just trying to decide the best place to live for us if we could get a little help?

San Antonio area, League City, dallas fort worth, or austin

We are not looking for in town big city, just somewhere where housing is decently priced, and make a good household income,

Currently live in utah

willing to commute 10-30mins

I am currently working as a Nurse

1 baby boy (7 months)

Any suggestions?

Thanks again so much!

For decently-priced housing, check out San Antonio.

Also, large Medical Center area here, so jobs are available.

SA is more family-friendly than DFW, Austin is more of a liberal college town. Not sure about League City, but I am not a big fan of the Galveston area. It may be a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there with that humidity!

About the only thing with SA is that your commute will more likely be towards the upper end of your range (20-30 minutes) depending on your work hours.

But between all those choices, I would agree with SA being your best choice!

Cheers! M2

Find a job in one of those cities first, and then decide to move there. As a nurse though, you should be able to work anywhere, and name your salary.

Age and interests are going to have a huge impact on where you should live. If your outdoorsy, Austin would be a better fit than San Antonio or DFW. If your into experiencing various cultures, San Antonio may be a good fit.

More details about your lifestyle would help with explanations...

I amy have missed it, but what is your motivation for moving?

League City or San Antonio. League City will give you more bang for your buck for sure, housing-wise.
There is a HUGE nursing shortage in Houston--probably also state-wide, but in Houston they are paying nurses top dollar and bonuses. Are you an RN, LVN, or BSN?

being from utah outdoors like things would be great! we are more into those kinda things rather than city

also the median family doesnt make much in southern utah, we love the area, but isnt quite cutting it for us

I've lived in Austin and now live in San Antonio, and I MUCH prefer San Antonio altho we are selling to move back to Florida!

San Antonio (North Central) has nationally recognized schools, very low cost of living (my house and 10 acres would sell for millions elsewhere, selling for $750K here), GREAT shopping..... and MANY more jobs available for Nurses than a smaller city can offer....

If we just had the beach, I'd stay here forever!!!

Austin is a bit more expensive than SA with housing.
