Boat Slips at Medina Lake? (Cove: rentals, how much, restaurant)

Does anyone know of any Boat Slips available at Medina Lake for a decent price?

A friend just got one at Joes place. He was on a waiting list for a while. From what he said, there are not too many to choose from. So I would get on a list. Wish I had more info for you.

You can also check out Red's Cove. I'm sure it is a waiting list also but it's good to be on both lists. Both places are located by the damn.

I can't find a website for Red's but the phone number is (210) 612-2715.

edit: I got that phone number from TPWD website. I'm willing to bet the area code is wrong, if it doesn't work try area code "830".

I've had experience with both places. Joe's is considerably more expensive than Red Cove. The staff at Red Cove is more friendly and they have a restaurant on site (with pretty darned good burgers too).

Other posters are correct that there is a waiting list. I was able to get a spot at Joe's without waiting a couple of years back but I was on the list at Red Cove for more than a year before getting a call.

There is another marina (small, don't even know its name) that's even closer to the dam than Joe's. I believe they are even more expensive than Joe's though.

As far as no cell phone coverage, I haven't found a spot at Medina where my phone didn't work (bad from a relaxation standpoint, good from a safety standpoint).
