I think my parents were pretty retarded, so that's why.. They would always let me get a bad sunburn when we went to Florida every year and my dad would let me ride on the back of the motorcycle wearing shorts, sandals, and a helmet... not bright at all

I personally am anxious to see me some fireflies. My wife was in Austin a few weeks ago and saw some at a park. So far, the only thing occupying my evenings are June Bugs which rolled out May 1st for some reason. LOL For those, we have a plethora hanging out on our driveway.

OH yes...My wife did the same thing to the little buggers when she was little...catch them in a jar...tear their little bottoms off...and paint her face with the glowing goo. Ewwww Now she pretty much runs from a bug...I guess its payback! LOL
