I'm personally not the type to drive more than 15-20 min from my home to eat out. If I'm in another area for some other reason & want to eat out there, fine, but I don't drive too far solely for the purpose to eat. I'm sure NEVER east of my house for any reason, so that includes Fontana, San Bernardino, the high desert area, & anything else east of me.

The OP asked about the "IE", they didn't specify the Cucamonga area.

And if you don't drive East, oh well! I'm the opposite - I have to dragged kicking and screaming to drive West

Gandalara, I know that R.C. is not nearly all of the IE, but the OP asked for places to eat. I persnally live in the R.C. & if I choose to stay in my immediate area, that's up to me, so that's the location of the places I'll suggest to the OP.

If you don't want the usual KFC, I think Popeye's is much better & also Louisiana's Famous Fried Chicken, plus they also have shrimp, fish, dirty rice, etc.

Serious question here: Why do you avoid one-offs and locally owned, non-corporate restaurants?

Hands down, the BEST Chinese restaurant in the IE is the Lotus Garden on Hospitality Lane in San Berdoo!!! I wish this family would come down to the desert and open a Chinese restaurant here!
