Right now, there is a major police action going on at the corner of New Chicago and Florida in Hemet. Road closures, helicopters, swat team, etc... This has been going on for at least 2 hours. The most frustrating thing about Hemet is that there is no local news other than a lame daily newspaper that publishes very little by way of local news stories. UGH!!!!

I am desperate for news!!!!

I subscribe to the Southwestern Riverside News Network. They had a report on this incident in my email box at 4:45pm.

UPDATE: Valle Vista neighborhoods still closed after reports of gunfire; some residents stranded
