I would also recommend Yucaipa and Calimesa. They are both very nice cities close to Redlands and San Berdo. The prices of houses are a little better and they are bother smaller towns.

Yucaipa and Calimesa are no where near Los Angeles. The commute wouldn't be worth it. To stay inbetween the job and the friends I would say Rancho Cucamonga to Glendora and all the cities off the 210 fwy in between (Upland, Claremont etc.).

San Bernardino is not in the LA area by far! It is in the Inland Empire metropolitan area (SB-Riverside) but go with North San Bernardino its nice affordible and its even sometimes considered a San Bernardino Subburb even thought its in the city. Redlands and Yucaipa are great SB suburbs! If you think Redlands and yucaipa are far from LA, you will defenitly think SB is far...try a job in the LA area like in Pomona, El Monte, maby Baldwin Park?

hey I'm pretty much on the same boat....got a job in san bernardino and want to live as close as possible to West LA. Does anyone have anything to add to whats been said here? Also, what are your thoughts/opinions on using the MetroLink trains for commuting? Is it as reliable as the commuter trains are on the east coast? (moving from boston)
